Sunday 14 to Sunday 20 March
THE ROYAL HAREM IN ANCIENT EGYPT: QUEENS, CONCUBINES, AND CONSPIRACY

Day 1: Sunday 14 March
- Arrival in Luxor (participants are responsible for their travel to Luxor. See the information below*)
- Private transfer from Luxor International Airport
- Check into the Marsam Hotel for 6 nights

Day 2: Monday 15 March
- Lecture 1: The Institution of the Royal Harem
- Lecture 2: Disputes and Succession
- Group lunch at local restaurant
- Site visit: Karnak Temple; Luxor Museum
- Welcome Dinner at the hotel
Day 3: Tuesday 16 March
- Lecture 3: Harem Palaces in Egypt
- Lecture 4: Harem Women 1: The King’s Mother
- Group lunch at local restaurant Site visit: Temple of Mut at Karnak
- Early evening excursion: Temple of Luxor
Day 4: Wednesday 17 March
- Site visit: Valley of the Queens: Queen Titi (QV52), Prince Khaemwaset (QV44); and Tomb of Prince Amen Hor Khopshef (QV55); afterwards visit Tombs of Huy (TT 40), Kheruef (TT192), and Ramose (TT 55)
- Group lunch at local restaurant
- Lecture 5: The Great Royal Wife
- Lecture 6: Harem Women 3: Foreign wives
Day 5: Thursday 18 March
- Site visits: Full day trip to Abydos and on to Dendera
- Packed lunch
Day 6: Friday 19 March
- Lecture 7: The Harem-Palace at Malqata
- Site visits: Malqata (SPECIAL OPENING), and Medinet Habu including the 'harem' situationed in upper floor of the Syrian Gate (SPECIAL OPENING)
- Group lunch at local restaurant
- Site visit: Ramesseum
- Lecture 8: Concubines and Princesses
- Farewell Dinner at hotel
Day 7: Saturday 20 March
- Private transfer to airport for return flights*
